How To DIY An Easy Sweet St. Patrick’s Day Rainbow For Kids (For Cheap!)
One of the best parts of having kiddos is finding small traditions to make holidays and special occasions a little more magical. I love finding simple and inexpensive ways to make things fun. Let’s face it- we’re all busy and the bank account isn’t unlimited, so it can’t get too crazy. Last March, I started a super quick and fun tradition to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with my boys. Keep reading to check out how I put together an easy, sweet St. Patrick’s Day rainbow for each of them. You’ll want to make it a tradition in your home too!

DIY AN EASY SWEET ST. PATRICK’S DAY RAINBOW
St. Patrick’s Day Rainbow Treat Supplies
In no more than 2 stops at stores near you, you’ll have everything you need for this fun project.
- 1 rainbow pill organizer for each child.
- I grabbed mine at our local dollar store.
- 7 total pieces of candy for each child’s rainbow.
- I picked through the bulk bins at our grocery store for pre-wrapped candy, because I wanted to put these together early and didn’t want stale candy. You can easily use unwrapped candies if you’d prefer though.
- Red candy, 1 piece.
- Orange candy, 1 piece.
- Yellow candy, 1 piece.
- Green candy, 1 piece.
- Blue candy, 1 piece.
- Purple candy, 1 piece.
- Gold candy, 1 piece.
- I picked through the bulk bins at our grocery store for pre-wrapped candy, because I wanted to put these together early and didn’t want stale candy. You can easily use unwrapped candies if you’d prefer though.
How To Assemble your Easy St. Patrick’s Day Rainbow
Honestly guys, DIY holiday treatsĀ DO NOT get any easier to put together than this one!
- Gather all your supplies.
- Open the pill organizer, and separate each piece.
- Place the colored candy into the corresponding color section of the organizer.
- I put a piece of gold-wrapped candy into the clear section, to represent the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
- Reassemble the organizer with the candy inside.
- Set the sweet St. Patrick’s Day rainbow out for your little leprechauns to enjoy on St. Patrick’s Day!
