Have A Merry Christmas Peanut! Story Time with Sweet Treat
Realistic mom confession time, guys… Baking just isn’t my thing. For the past several weeks, my boys have been spending every Wednesday evening baking holiday treats with my mom. They know if Nana doesn’t take over, the cookies definitely won’t be baked! I tried not to let any mom guilt creep in, but I’m only human… So when a new favorite holiday picture book inspired a no-bake snack idea, I knew it was worth checking out. Read on to see the sweet treats that Merry Christmas, Peanut! inspired.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, PEANUT! STORY TIME AND TREAT
Reading Merry Christmas, Peanut!
My boys (including my hubs) are huge fans of Terry Border’s ‘Peanut’ picture book series. We first found Peanut Butter and Cupcake!, and have been hooked ever since. When I saw Merry Christmas, Peanut! in #thelittleone’s book order flyer, I knew it would be a great choice. My kids love the silly word play that runs through the book, and there are guaranteed giggles each time we read it out loud. I am personally amazed by the photographs Border created. I love the sort of ‘dollhouse feel’ of peanuts posed with miniatures and other tiny props. (Everything’s cuter when it’s tiny, right?!)
The book is the perfect choice for a holiday read aloud- your kids will undoubtedly be hoping that Peanut makes it to Grandma’s and everyone has a wonderful holiday celebration together. The adorable images, especially the gorgeous Christmas cookies lining the landscape put everyone in the mood for a sweet treat!
